Organizational Tips for Work from Home Moms

Being a work from home mom is easier than ever. Thanks to the internet, moms can find work to support their families without having to worry about commuting, daycare or working overtime away from home. However, staying on top of your work can be difficult when you are away from a traditional office or taking care of children during the day. Here are some ideas in which work from home moms can use to stay organized.

Even if it’s a certain section of your dining room table, having a dedicated office space is crucial if you work from home. Use this office area strictly for work and keep all your files and equipment here. This will prevent your work from getting lost or unorganized.

Without a structured office environment, work from home moms need to create their own work schedules. Take some time at the beginning of your work week to write down your upcoming projects and their deadlines. Be sure to include non-project tasks such as children’s meals or running errands. Analyze how much time you will need each day to complete your projects. Keep your work schedule in an easily accessible location and refer to it often to stay on track.

Clutter in your workspace is a major factor in becoming disorganized. Take some time and review your paperwork often, recycling what you no longer need. Scanning papers and saving them on your computer is one useful way to reduce clutter and get organized. Files on your computer should also be cleaned out on a regular basis and organized in a way that makes sense to you.

With children’s schedules and activities to maintain, work from home moms may not be able to focus on their projects uninterrupted for long periods of time. However, eliminating distractions is a key factor in staying organized. Some situations my arise that necessitate straying from your work schedule, but try to eliminate as many distractions as you can control and stick to your task list for the day.

Work from home moms take care of many things during their days, from meals to naptimes to errands, not to mention their own projects. With a few simple tips, moms can stay organized, ensuring their children’s needs are met and important deadlines aren’t missed.

There are many factors when you are looking at promoting an affiliate program. Obviously you want a good product or service, but what else should you consider? Prior to joining any program, do some investigation and ask yourself these nine questions.

1. Is this a product that I feel good about promoting, would I purchase it? Choose a program that you like and believe in. It is always a lot easier to promote products and services that you like.

2. Does it cost you anything to join? Most of the affiliate programs being offered today are free. So why pay them to promote their product? Think of it as a job, would you pay your employer to hire you? Probably not, so why pay for an affiliate program.

3. How often and when do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different, do they issue their checks once a month, every two weeks, or every quarter? Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. It is becoming normal practice for affiliate programs to have a minimum payout. You want to be aware of what it is and if there are any other conditions. Also, do they have more than one payout option, or is it only through checks. A lot of affiliate programs are now offering choices of how you would like to be paid..

4. Does it have a good hit per sale ratio? Hit per sale is the average number of hits to a banner or text link before there is a sale – this is based on all affiliate statistics. Hit per sale ratio is extremely important to know as this will give you an idea of how much traffic you will need before you can earn a commission. Remember this is an idea not a hard fact, it could take more traffic, but it also could take less. Use this ratio as a general idea of traffic, not as a fact.

5. How do they track referrals from an affiliate’s site and how long do they remain in their system? This is how you get credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. It can take people four or five days to decide if they want to purchase, and if they saved the main sales site you want to feel confident that the system keeps track of where they came from. It is good to know you will still get credit for the sale if it is done months after the initial visit.

6. What kinds of affiliate stats are tracked? You should be able to get detailed stats, and be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Checking your statistics is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are being generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed and a hit is the number of times the banner or link was actually clicked on. This is good knowledge, as it lets you know if you should change where or what type of link you are offering. If the number of views, hits and sales is good leave it alone. But if the numbers are low, you may want to change it.

7. Who is the retailer? You want to know who you are doing business with. Is it a solid company? what are the other products they are selling and the average amount of sales they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

8. Does it offer a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the sales that you make. A two tier program pays you for your sales, plus it also pays you a commission on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsored. Some two-tier programs pay a recruitment fee for each new affiliate you sponsor.

9. What is the percentage of commission paid? you will find commissions can range from 5% – 75%. If you use a program like Adsense, they pay 0.01 to 0.02% for each click. The amount paid is not much, but if enough people click the link, it can add up. It is not always wise to look just at the percentage of the commission. If a product that has a fifty percent click to sale ratio, and pays 25% commission of $8, is compared to a product that has a 10% click to sale ratio and pays a 60% commission of $22. Which is better?

Before you join an affiliate program ask yourself these questions. The more familiar you are with the program the more likely you are to Make Money.

Reducing Stress Tips to Find Happiness

Stress has turned into a key issue in our lives, with more traffic, more demands at work, or lack of money, a lot of people are being weighed down. Now, a modest amount of stress is not a terrible thing, as it can help you work at your best. Still, stress that seems a bit too much could take a physical, as well as mental toll on your body. Too much of anything can be bad for your health. You need to learn some simple techniques in order to manage your stress before it leads to deeper problems.

So how should you do it? The following tips and advice can help you manage your stress.

1. Write it out.

It is best to write down everything that is overwhelming you. You will find that a things-to-do-list makes it easier to manage than having everything all crumpled up in your head. Writing down the tasks, and putting a specific schedule and time to do them, helps you manage your activities one at a time. Crossing out an activity that has been accomplished is very rewarding and can help you feel more relaxed when doing the other tasks at hand.

2. One at a time works.

Focus all of your attention specifically on one task at one time. It does not help to feel panicky about the other undone or to-do tasks. Thinking about them only adds unnecessary stress and hampers you in the task you are attempting to accomplish.

3. Delegate, delegate, delegate.

You need not do everything all at once, and you need not do everything on your own. Ask for help. When there is a feeling of being overwhelmed, hire someone to mow the lawn or get a sitter for your children. The feeling of being pressed to finish something on time will be eased if tasks are delegated. It takes a load off unnecessary worry and anxiety. Moreover, it is easier checking up on how things are going, than worrying yourself sick about doing everything on your own.

4. Relax and take it slow.

At least, try not to expend too much energy on things that are currently not priorities. Do not waste your energy on the tasks that are not that important, at least for now. Take the time to relax and realize that not everything has to be done at the same time.

5. Give yourself a reward.

You deserve it. Acknowledging your accomplishments, no matter how big or small, is an effort that is necessary before getting on to the next tasks and activities. It reduces stress and could even make you happier in doing the next task.

6. Give yourself a break.

You need it to be more productive. A ten to fifteen minute break during your work is necessary. Go visit a café nearby, take a quick brisk walk, or do anything to put your mind off work, at least for a while. This is necessary to recharge yourself. If you can’t get away, you can sit with your eyes closed as you visualize a peaceful landscape or a relaxing scene. This simple technique releases the stress from your muscles and your mind.

Relax and be cool, you will be happier, healthier, and a lot more valuable. Living in a world of stress, we have to learn how to stop and enjoy ourselves. Take the time to integrate these techniques to reduce your stress, and you will find your efficiency increases and your smile returns.
